What is Leadership Exchange?

Leadership Exchange, commonly known as LEX, is the Indy Chamber's annual immersion into the economic infrastructure of another major metropolitan region. This cultural deep dive is our opportunity to explore best practices and bring fresh ideas back to the Indy region.

This year, Leadership Exchange will put Health First as we head to Washington, D.C., to explore the connection between health and economic prosperity.

Who is invited to Leadership Exchange?

Accepted Answer

The 2025 Leadership Exchange delegation consists of invited subject matter experts and legislative leaders, a cohort of emerging changemakers, and new and existing Indy Chamber board members who attended at least half of the board meetings in 2024 and are actively serving on a council or committee.​

What is included with the cost of registration?

Accepted Answer

The registration fee includes all ground transportation, meals for each day of the trip, daily sessions, a three-night hotel stay, and an after-party Thursday night.

Fees DO NOT include coordination or the cost of roundtrip airfare.

What are this year's flight arrangements?

Accepted Answer

LEX registration fees include all costs except airfare. Delegates are responsible for booking their own flights. To ensure you don’t miss the official kickoff and first session of programming, please plan to arrive in Washington, D.C. by 2 p.m. We recommend flying into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) for the most convenient access to our host hotel.

What are the hotel accommodations in Washington, D.C.?

We are staying at the Hamilton Hotel. Registration includes your hotel stay from Wednesday, Sept. 17 through departure on Saturday, Sept. 20.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for LEX is casual—so, come comfortable and ready to explore! This year’s agenda includes walking tours, so be sure to pack sneakers or other comfortable shoes for all programming.

How do I register for the Pre-Trip Meeting?

Accepted Answer

The pre-trip meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 27, at the Indiana War Memorial, with two session options: one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
