SCOTT WILLIS

MAYOR

CITY OF WESTFIELD

ABOUT ME

Mayor Scott Willis was elected to his first term as Westfield's second mayor on November 7, 2023. He has been advancing Westfield since he took office on January 1, 2024. As a decorated U.S. Marine Colonel, a successful businessman, and a 20-year Westfield resident, Mayor Willis has brought a new and unique voice to the community.

His administration's four pillars include public safety excellence, accountability and transparency, quality growth and livability, and empowerment and continuous improvement.

Mayor Willis is committed to diversifying Westfield’s tax base, recruiting new businesses and jobs, being fiscally responsible and transparent, and strategically growing the city. His vision for Westfield's development is about growth and creating a vibrant and inclusive community for all. This is apparent in his vision for downtown Westfield, a four-phase approach to redevelopment and revitalization, including multiple parking garages and multi-use developments, and retaining the 'Restaurant Row' charm while making it more pedestrian-friendly.

Mayor Willis's administration places a high priority on public safety, as evidenced by the resources and growth opportunities provided to the departments. The construction of Westfield Fire Department Station 84 is underway, and land for Stations 85 and 86 has been identified. The Westfield Police Department has also secured land and begun designing a new, expanded headquarters.

His extensive community service, including roles as a Westfield City Councilor, Westfield Public Library board member, Student Impact board member, Westfield YMCA steering committee member, the President’s Council for Purdue University, past Chairman of the Westfield GOP Club, and involvement in several Veteran organizations, demonstrates his deep commitment to community involvement. Mayor Willis serves on the Board of Directors for the Marine Foundation and formerly on the board for Operation Job Ready Veterans, a non-profit organization that supports veterans transitioning from the military to corporate America. He is currently serving on the Executive Committee of Reserve Organization of America (ROA). ROA advocates Congress and the Department of Defense on all matters pertaining to the Military Reserve Components. Mayor Willis is also member of the VFW, Rotary, and the American Legion.

Scott and his wife, Stacey, have three children and enjoy family vacations, Purdue sports, and volunteering in the community.
