Michael (Mike) Ash serves as regional president for Fifth Third Bank, N.A. (Indiana). He is responsible for the growth and strategic alignment of our Business, Commercial, Wealth & Asset Management and Consumer businesses to deliver distinctive value to our customers and community impact in the region.

Mike brings more than 33 years of banking experience, including more than 22 years with Fifth Third. Mike began his Fifth Third career in 2003 as the Commercial Banking team lead in Indianapolis before being named Business Banking executive for Central Indiana.

In 2010, Mike relocated to Kentucky, serving as city president in Lexington and as senior commercial banker for the Kentucky region. In July 2015, he was promoted to regional president in Kentucky. He took on his current role in September 2020.

Education
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Indiana University and an MBA in finance from Butler University.

Professional and Civic
Mike continues to embrace opportunities to serve the community and expand his involvement. He has served in leadership roles for numerous community boards throughout his career. Currently, Mike serves as Treasurer of the Indy Chamber, and the boards of the Indiana State Chamber, Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, and CEMETS Indiana iLab.
