ABOUT ME
Kionna Louise Walker is the Founder and CEO of Next Great Architects, an AlA award-winning teaching studio that introduces architecture to students as early as kindergarten and nurtures them through college and licensure. Next Great Architects has impacted more than 7,000 students.
Kionna Louise graduated with a Bachelor's in Architecture from Ball State University and a Master of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College. With over 18 years of professional experience, Kionna Louise is also an educator at Ball State University's R. Wayne Estopinal College of Architecture and Planning, making the historic mark as the first African American Woman Instructor of Architecture, now Assistant Professor of Architecture. Kionna Louise is a registered architect and practices through the NGA Design Studio, which is the professional arm of Next Great Architects. Kionna is also the author of children's book, Jamila Pearl The Architect Girl.
