HANNAH MAXEY

ABOUT ME

Dr. Hannah L. Maxey, PhD, MPH, RDH is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine and Director of the Bowen Center for Health Workforce Research and Policy. She is also a founding partner of Veritas Health Solutions, a consulting firm focused on strategic planning, policy design, and workforce development in health care.

With over 20 years of experience in health care and public health, Dr. Maxey began her career as a licensed dental hygienist, practicing in public health clinics operated by the Marion County Public Health Department. She later earned her MPH and PhD in Health Policy and Management from the IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health.

Dr. Maxey is nationally recognized for her expertise in health workforce policy and has led numerous initiatives to improve workforce data infrastructure and inform evidence-based policy. She has provided expert testimony to the Indiana General Assembly and the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging and served as a consultant to the National Governors Association.

At Veritas Health Solutions, Dr. Maxey is known for her ability to connect data, people, and initiatives to create integrity-based solutions that drive meaningful impact. Her work spans strategic planning, facilitation, and policy research, helping clients address complex workforce challenges.

Dr. Maxey continues to shape health policy and workforce systems across the U.S., with a focus on sustainable, community-centered solutions.
