ABOUT ME

Brett Kramer joined the Indianapolis Colts staff in May, 2023 as the Director of Kicking The Stigma. In her role, she is responsible for the development and execution of the strategic plan for Kicking The Stigma, through a collaborative approach with ownership, to position the team as a leading advocate and changemaker for mental health awareness. She oversees all events and activities, including the annual Beyond the Sidelines fundraiser, in addition to the initiative’s strategic partnerships, Action Grant program, donor recruitment and development, foundation management, and content strategy.

Prior to her time with the Indianapolis Colts, Kramer served as the Senior Director of Communications at Indiana Sports Corp. At the organization, she was a key member of the leadership team responsible for developing, overseeing, and executing internal communications, public relations, media relations, social media strategies, crisis communications, and external communications strategies. She oversaw the public relations and social media for the historic 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship resulting in more than 75K earned media mentions in less than four months. Additionally, she organized and directed media operations at all six venues of the Championship and served as the first female Local Media Coordinator since at least 2010.

Kramer started her career in sports as the Director of Championships and Communications for the Horizon League. At the Horizon League, she served as the Championship Tournament Director for men’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, and men’s and women’s tennis while serving as the primary contact and manager of communications for men’s soccer, women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, and softball.

Kramer graduated with honors from Michigan State University in 2012 with a degree in Communication and specialization in Public Relations. At Michigan State, Kramer was a student-athlete in the sport of softball where she earned First Team All-Big Ten accolades, All-Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Athlete, and was an All-America Scholar Athlete by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Kramer is a native of Fishers, Ind. and graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 2008. Kramer currently lives Downtown Indianapolis with her husband Ryan, daughter Elliott, and Great Dane Leonard.
