Ahmed Young has been appointed as the President/CEO of The Indianapolis Foundation. Prior to this role, Mr. Young served as Director of Public and Government Affairs for Walmart. His experience also includes serving as General Counsel and Chief of External Affairs for Indianapolis Public Schools, following nearly ten years of teaching in classrooms across Indianapolis and New York City, as well as leading the Office of Education Innovation under Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett. Mr. Young’s legal background spans both private and public sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Juris Doctor from Indiana University. Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Young enjoys traveling with his wife and three children.
