Leadership Exchange (LEX) is an annual immersion into the economic and cultural infrastructure of another metropolitan region -- with a focus on learning and applying best practices.

The impact of LEX is driven by our programmatic partners and the robust, 100+ member delegation of Central Indiana leaders representing business, education, philanthropy, and government.

It is a unique opportunity to spend three days together diving deeply into a topic of paramount importance to Central Indiana’s future.

WHAT IS LEADERSHIP EXCHANGE?

The Indy Chamber and our honorary co-chairs, Indiana University President Pamela Whitten and Purdue University President Mung Chiang, invite you to the 2024 Leadership Exchange, presented by Ice Miller.

We’re heading to Boston, where we will study their successful efforts to build and cultivate a thriving university- and industry-led innovation ecosystem.

As a cold-weather talent magnet, R&D mecca, and home to some of America’s preeminent universities, Boston’s approach to economic growth and development provides inspiration and instruction for our efforts in Central Indiana.

Boston’s innovation and talent ecosystems serve as critical models to accelerate Indy’s momentum as our region works together to:

  • Maximize the impact of Indiana University and Purdue University investments in Indianapolis.

  • Create hard tech and life sciences corridors connecting the two flagship campuses within the Indy region.

  • Leverage the success of innovative corporate leaders, like Eli Lilly and Company.
