Michael J. McQuillen (R), formerly a Lawrence Township Board Member, was first elected to the Indy Council in 2007, and was re-elected in 2011 & 2015. He currently serves as the Council’s Minority Leader. Previously he served as Council Majority Whip and Majority Leader.

As an elected official, McQuillen’s focus is on monitoring city services, spending, crime determent and promoting job growth. He has served on several committees, including the Rules and Public Policy, Community Affairs, Education, Ethics, Parks, and the Committee on Committees. He has also chaired Rules, Ethics, Municipal Corporations and the Capital Improvement Board Task Force.

McQuillen also has, and continues to serve, on many community & service based boards and commissions.

An antiques & political memorabilia dealer professionally, McQuillen and his wife Polly reside in Northeast Indianapolis.
