TOWN OF SPEEDWAY
Jacob Blasdel serves as the town manager of Speedway, Indiana, reporting to the elected Town Council. He is responsible for the delivery of essential public services including public safety, roads and streets, water and waste water utilities, and parks and recreation, while also working on economic development and long-term improvement.
Jacob became the town manager in April of 2017, building on a 10-year career in finance and infrastructure. Most recently, he worked in project finance at The AES Corporation, financing utility infrastructure and electric generation projects in Oklahoma, Southern California, Maryland, and Ohio. He also previously spent time in the public sector, serving at the State of Indiana in the Office of Management and Budget and Indiana Finance Authority during the second term of the Daniels Administration.
Jacob received a bachelor’s degree in economics from DePauw University and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
